With the wide range of technologies available, including social media tools and the increasing demand for "Zoom" meetings, most users learn how to use these infrastructures even if they haven't used them before. Platforms like "LinkedIn", "Facebook", and "Instagram" are often self-taught. While their designs, placements, and expressions may change, their functions generally remain the same due to consistent trends.
When you see icons for a microphone or a camera, you understand that they are for turning on or off those functions. Similarly, when you see a chat icon, you understand that it is for conversation or texting with others, including private chat.
Nonetheless, we will guide you through some features to make your journey amazing. Please read this article and follow the steps provided to help you manage our infrastructure smoothly.
Let's Start With a Simple Test
As we use the latest video technology through our solution partner "Remo", please make sure your Chrome Browser and operating system (OS) are updated to the latest version.
To check your browser and system;
1st Option: Before logging in, you can make a test by clicking here! Please remember to grant permission to "Remo" to access your microphone and camera.
2nd Option: After logging in, all you need to do is click on your "My Profile" icon at the top right corner and choose "Test My Gear" on the drop-down list.
User Profile
One of the most important sections is your user profile. Other functions such as microphone, camera, or screen sharing can be managed through the bar you see at the bottom of your screen.
You can add many fields to your business card to share more information about yourself, which can help other guests get to know you better and can lead to more meaningful conversations.
To start filing in your profile:
1. Click on your image/image icon in the right-hand corner, at the top.
2. From the drop-down menu select "EDIT".
3. Once on your profile page, click the "Edit User/Profile" button.
To edit your profile you can:
Add your Full Name
Add a Profile Picture
For Profile Pictures, the ideal dimensions are 128 px (width) x 128 px (height) with a maximum file size of 512 KB. Only JPG, JPEG, PNG, or GIF file types are supported.
Add a Headline and your Job Title
Add a URL to schedule meetings, e.g. a Calendly link
Connect to your LinkedIn or Facebook Profiles
Add a link to your Website (you can also link to your Instagram if you wish!)
4. Once you've filled in everything you want, make sure to click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.
Supported Operating Systems
Windows, Mac, iOS Safari or Chrome, Android Chrome.
*We suggest that all participants use Chrome as their browser and ensure they have a wired internet connection or a strong Wi-Fi signal. You may also consider switching off other devices connected to the internet.
*Please note though, when using mobile, you will not be able to share your screen, or use the whiteboard while in presentation mode Therefore, for Event Hosts and Speakers, you must join the event using a computer or laptop to maximize all features in our system.
*If you are currently using Windows 10 and facing issues, please do reach out to our Chat Support team through the 'Need Help' button in the lower-left corner of your screen for assistance.
*Tablets and iPads are not supported at the moment.
Supported Browsers:
Our system, remo Conference, can be currently accessed by the following browsers, updated to the latest two versions: Chrome, Safari (on Mac & iOS only), and Microsoft Edge (on Windows only).
Notifications or Sounds
When a guest receives an invitation to join a table, a sound alerts them.
When a guest joins a table, all people at that table are alerted by a sound.
When the host makes an announcement, you see a message pop up on your screen.
